The International Environmental Data Rescue Organization (IEDRO) is offering to partner with organizations applying to become Primary Investigators in NERC’s Future Climate for Africa (FCFA) Research Programme.
NERC (Natural Environment Research Council) is the leading funder of independent research, training and innovation in environmental science in the UK. The FCFA’s goal is to “advance scientific understanding and prediction of African climate variability and change and, through interdisciplinary research, develop the knowledge, data and tools to better integrate this science into medium-term investments, policies and plans.”
IEDRO’s role would be as a Sub-Contractor supporting the Primary Investigator by providing Data Rescue and Digitization (DR&D) services.
IEDRO has prepared a document titled “Information for Primary Investigators” as a resource to aid in the development of proposals. The document is available at this address: http://iedro.org/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2014/05/IEDRO_portion_of_NERC-FCFA_proposals.pdf on the IEDRO website, www.iedro.org.
