Deale, Maryland – IEDRO has joined with HandsOn Network and Disney to participate in the “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” program. On September 9 th , 2009, Disney Parks announced a new program designed to celebrate the spirit of volunteer service: the “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day” promotion. Hoping to inspire families everywhere, Disney officially kicked off the program on January 1 st , offering one million people who perform volunteer service for a participating organization a free one-day admission ticket to a Walt Disney World Resort or Disneyland Resort theme park.
Disney has partnered with HandsOn Network, the nation’s largest volunteer network, to facilitate sign-ups for eligible volunteer projects. Part of the Points of Light Institute, HandsOn Network has 250 volunteer action centers, and a network of over 70,000 nonprofit, corporate and faith organizations.
IEDRO recently joined with HandsOn Network and Disney to participate in “Give a Day, Get a Disney Day.” “We’re thrilled to be a part of this program,” said Pennell Paugh, public relations manager at IEDRO. “There are so many people out there willing to help. The Disney free pass program is a wonderful way of saying thank you, and a gift anyone would enjoy!”
